Teaching Resources

We have provided some videos which we found most useful during our research to aid peoples understanding of how the renin angiotensin aldosterone system works, the general mechanism of action of ACE inhibitors, to educate them about the negative aspects relating to the current synthetic ACE inhibitor drugs and how an ultrafiltration membrane operates to isolate molecules. We have also provided a visual representation of our proposed bioprocess in action so people can more visually capture how we intend on producing the bioactive peptide ACE inhibitors.

Video 4. How the renin angiotensin aldosterone system influences our blood pressure.

Video 5. Explanation of the renin pathway and how angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II and the effects this has on our body.

Video 6. Mechanism of action of ACE inhibitor drugs in lowering the blood pressure and their current known side effects on the body.
